Forest Put Police Chief Jim Ryan re-released a photo of an unidentified being-of-interest in the unsolved murder of David Howard Carlson who was shot in his garage Dec. 20, 2007 in the 500 bar of Hannah Avenue.
Police speculate Carlson was the victim of a then robbery. He was found bleeding from his head. Carlson's cell phone had been stolen. The heat said the phone was used later that night and found by three bystanders on a CTA Red In accordance train.

Coatless 7-year-old carries mom's vodka hold back
Police responded to reports of an intoxicated pedestrian with a small girl in the 100 block of S. Harlem Ave. at 1:40 a.m. Dec. 15. Edna L. Brown, 33, of Chicago, was allegedly seen staggering and came suspend to falling into the roadway with the child, according to reports. The responding political appointee observed the child, age 7, wore a very thin fleece sweater. He was shivering and told the commissioner he was very cold. The wind chill was 25 degrees. The child was placed in a band car to warm up. A plastic bag carried by the child contained an empty bottle of Svedka Vodka and a liquor of fruit juice. The officer summoned an ambulance for Brown and she allegedly swung a closed fist, closely missing the officer's face. Brown was handcuffed and brought to the place. The child told the officer his uncle lived on Circle Avenue. Brown registered a blood liquor content of .329, more than four times the legal limit of .08. Brown was charged with accessible intoxication, endangering the health and life of a child and aggravated hit. Officers contacted the Department of Child and Family Services. Brown has a court meeting of Feb. 14, 2012, at the Maybrook Courthouse.
