Missing Man Sought In Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Colorado Springs watch have traced a missing man's cell phone to an area far from where he usually rides his bicycle to and from Colorado Complex University.
Police said the phone of Kyle Sloan, 27, was traced to a neighborhood almost the intersection of Bijou Street and Union Boulevard on the city's east side. Sloan lives several miles to the northeast on Northglen Spur, and pedaled 10 miles to CTU.
Sloan's parents said he didn't recur home by 10 p.m. as usual on Wednesday, and feared he may have become a crime butt while biking on trails.
"No way I would take that trail by myself," said Karry Homan, Sloan's fuss over. "You're passing the back sides of trailer parks (at night), but it's bosky and you can tell people hang out there and drink. Nobody would even hear you scream, remarkably."
Homan said Sloan knew she didn't want him to take the trails, but he did so, anyway.
Sloan's stepfather, Don Homan, said Sloan is a diabetic who may have passed out or fallen asleep if his blood sugar status got out of control.
"He was also going to a new doctor's appointment," said Don Homan. "He's new here and doesn't have knowledge of the area, so he really didn't know where the (appointment) was."
Karry Homan and a squad of friends went out searching for Sloan on Thursday evening, in the zone where police traced his cell phone. The group passed out Sloan's image and asked residents if they had seen him.
One woman said she thought the model looked familiar, but police haven't confirmed whether Sloan, and not only his phone, was actually in the area.
Sloan is studying business direction at CTU. He has a wife, son and five siblings.
Police said Sloan was wearing a foggy shirt, plaid shorts and carrying a black backpack. He had a conclude cut hairstyle and was riding a blue Schwinn mountain bike, police said.
If you see Sloan, call guard at 444-7000.
