so Nautical starboard properly now I have a threadless stem on my fixie (Trek Soho S) but I really want a Quill stem. How would I do this? would i need to buy a new fork??
You don't have to affix with 1 1/8, you can use a headtube reducer and use all 1" parts.

Minuscule answer: you can't
Your frame's headtube is sized for a 1-1/8" fork. Threaded headsets and analogous quill stems of this size are a rare find. Even if you could locate a headset, you'd need to replace the fork with a 1-1/8 threaded

If you shortage to change the height of the bars get a different stem. Quill stems are old technology. You can get stems with particular rises and lengths.
